Glenrose Developments chose the perfect location to watch their biggest property development take shape.
From their office in St Peter's Gate they could watch daily progress of the Echo 24 apartment block on the opposite side of the river.
The apartment block has changed the face of Sunderland and is one of many quality residential developments Glenrose has completed since the company formed in 1997.
Commercial director Mike Orr said: "When the Echo 24 development started to come together we needed a base where we could be in daily contact with all the teams involved in the project."

Mike came from an accountancy background to launch Glenrose Developments with business partner Chris Watson who is a quantity surveyor by profession.
Mike said: "While we handled Echo 24 from a blank piece of paper we usually manage small to medium size independent residential developments. The majority of our developments also tend to be south of the River Tyne which is the patch that we know best."
"We are currently working on developments in Fulwell and Ryhope in Sunderland, but also out of our usual patch up in Bedlington. We concentrate on individual developments that offer quality, but also something a little different which is perhaps where our niche lies."
