St Peter's Gate proved to be the ideal base to launch the high-growth business Puzhou International Ltd.
Launched in 2009 Puzhou International is the UK growing subsidiary of The Puzhou Group. The Puzhou Group is a consortium of companies that reprocess recovered waste plastics in the Shandong Province, China.
Puzhou International was established to act as an agent on behalf of the Puzhou Group to facilitate in the procurement process of the recovered plastic waste material from Europe to their facilities in China.
David Riley explained "we purchase various types and grades of plastic waste materials including LDPE, HDPE, PET, PP, PC and ABS from trusted waste management and recycling companies from all over Europe. This recovered plastic waste material is then exported for reprocessing through our own and extensive re-distribution network that is the Puzhou Group based in China."
"As the sole European representative of the Puzhou Group, this means that Puzhou International has access to over 80 factories in the Shandong Province alone, all of which comply with both Chinese and European environmental protection laws. These factories reprocess various plastics and polymer grades including; LDPE 98:2, 95:5, 90:10, HDPE regrind, HDPE IBC's, HDPE Bottles, PP Big Bags, PP caps, PET, PP/PET strapping, PC and ABS."
David said "we are continuously looking to develop and expand the company, creating employment, increasing our client base in Europe and introducing new plastic materials and grades to our ever expanding reprocessing network in China. Since our inception in 2009 we started purchasing recovered waste plastics in the UK, but due to our increasing demand for recovered waste plastics from China we have since rapidly expanded into new markets and we now purchase material from all over Europe including; Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Holland, Portugal and Spain respectively."
